And the fact of the matter is that Divock Origi has only scored three times in 15 appearances for Liverpool this season and two of those goals came in the EFL Cup.
In 12 Premier League and Champions League matches, the 27-time Belgium international has managed to score just once, which is not exactly fantastic.
However, the Liverpool fans do not appear to be on his back for the moment, and many were actually pleased with his performance against Genk on Tuesday night.
The fact that Jurgen Klopp shuffled his pack ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Manchester City meant that there was a start for Origi in the final third of the field.
According to WhoScored, the 24-year-old had four shots, completed five dribbles and boasted a pass success rate of 88% during his 89 minutes against Genk.
