Henrik Larsson could return to Celtic as a member of Neil Lennon’s backroom staff this summer, according to The Scottish Sun.
The paper reckon he is on a shortlist of names that Lennon has drawn up to complement current coaches John Kennedy, Damien Duff and Stevie Woods.
Larsson is of course a playing legend of the club, having scored an incredible 242 goals in 315 appearances between 1997 and 2004.
Outspoken pundit, Chelsea flop, Celtic legend. C’mon the Hoops’ Keith throws back to Chris Sutton in the video below…
He gave the club the best seven years of his career before moving to Barcelona and fulfilling his dream of winning the UEFA Champions League.
He’s a European football icon and a return would certainly be box office, with fans knowing he would only be arriving back in Glasgow for one express purpose – to win more trophies.
With young attacking stars like Odsonne Edouard still learning their trade too, perhaps he could teach emerging talent at Celtic Park a trick or two to help their game.
Fans are certainly keen on the appointment being made, taking to Twitter over the last 48 hours to share their thoughts on it all…
