Former West Ham United forward Tony Cottee has claimed that the Hammers need a complete overhaul at the end of the season in order to move forward as a club.
West Ham issued lifetime bans to a number of supporters earlier this month following the scenes that marred their 3-0 defeat to Burnley at the London Stadium.
The club’s fans continue to protest against the board, whilst matters are not much better on the field as a run of just one in their last seven Premier League matches has left them down in 17th position in the table.
There is simply no downplaying the importance of Saturday’s Premier League clash with fellow strugglers Southampton.
Indeed, a defeat to the Saints would leave David Moyes’ side in a very difficult position.
Cottee was clearly speaking from the heart when he discussed his former club’s problems, and the West Ham fans have agreed with the pundit.
