According to reports in The Mirror, West Ham United manager David Moyes is keen to sign Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen during the January transfer window, and Irons fans have been quick to have their say on the rumour.
The Mirror says that Moyes wants to reshape his team next month in order to steer them away from the relegation zone, and the 27-year-old is said to be one of his top targets in the New Year.
Allen can play as either a deep-lying midfielder or in a more attacking role, and he has shown what a key player he is for the Potters with three goals and a further five assists in 20 appearances in all competitions for Mark Hughes’ men this term.
West Ham supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the transfer link, and while one said “Joe Allen is better than all three of our CMs” with Pedro Obiang, Cheikhou Kouyate and Mark Noble struggling at times this season, another disagreed and said “we must aim higher”.
